Here are my Oscar predictions. I’ll see how I do tomorrow morning…the ones I’d like to win in a few categories are afterwards

Best Film - Little Miss Sunshine (My choice: I like Little Miss Sunshine, though I’ll be happy if Babel wins and not surprised if The Departed wins)

Best Actor in a leading role - Forest Whitaker in The Last King of Scotland (My Choice: Peter O’Toole,Venus)

Best Actress in a leading role - Helen Mirren in The Queen (My Choice: Penelope Cruz, Volver)

Best Actor in a supporting role - Alan Arkin, Little Miss Sunshine (My Choice: I’ll be happy if Alan Arkin wins, but Jackie Earle Haley was so good in Little Children)

Best Actress in a supporting role - Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls (My Choice: Rinko Kikuchi or Adriana Barazza for Babel)

Best Original Screenplay - Little Miss Sunshine (My Choice: happy if LMS wins, but also would be if Babel or Pan’s Labyrinth did)

Best Adapted Screenplay - The Departed (My Choice: happy whatever wins this one)

Foreign Language Film - Pan’s Labyrinth (My Choice: or The Lives Of Others…I’ve allowed myself two choices because I loved them both!)

Animated Film - Monster House

Art Direction - Pan’s Labyrinth

Cinematography - Children of Men (it better win…or else!)

Costume Design - Marie Antoinette

Best Director - Martin Scorsese (My Choice: Alejandro González Iñárritu for Babel)

Documentary Feature - An Inconvenient Truth

Documentary Short - Two Hands

Film Editing - Babel

Makeup - Pan’s Labyrinth

Animated Short - Maestro

Short Film (Live Action) - West Bank Story
